Suitable for all boards…surf boards, SUP boards, windsurf boards, kite boards, wing boards, and bodyboards, etc.. Special projects also possible…just ask us.
Our bags are continuously improved as better materials become available. When you order your bag, you are getting the latest materials. Each bag comes with a 12 month warranty on manufacture defects.

The Bigsurf custom board bags have everything you need, and nothing you don’t. Our standard bags are suitable for daily use and light travel. If you need something tougher, custom, with more protection, or just more features, we can do that too…just ask us.
The Bigsurf Custom Board Bags are based on our experience of using bags for various board sports since the 1990’s. We focus on function, rather than style trends. Each bag is for your board, not a range of board sizes…a floppy bag with your board sliding around inside is not good enough for you or your board. And each of our bags are built well and with no fuss…this means there is less to go wrong with them.
If your board is a custom size that is no problem. All we need is a good picture of your board, and the maximum length and width. Alternatively, if you can visit us with your board, or even better leave it with us for a short period, we can measure it and get to work making your new bag.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Before we get stuck in to building you a new bag, don’t just give up on your current bag(s). We’re in favour of recycling and reusing…let us help you to reuse. Maybe your current bag needs a new zipper, a tear repaired, or it’s too big for your board…well, we can help you there too. Do please email us pics and a description of the issue…we’ll sort it for you.
All used bags must be supplied to Bigsurf perfectly clean of sand, dirt and debris, and dry. If not, we have to charge €25 to clean it.
Ordering
The ordering process is simple. Input your required bag length and then select “ADD TO CART”. A form will pop up which lists information we need to make your bag. When you’re done, select “Add to Cart” at the bottom of the form. You can then continue shopping or proceed to checkout.
NOTE: When you’ve processed your order online, please email us a picture (plan elevation) of your board to info@bigsurfshop.com.
Bigsurf Standard Bag
Below is the spec of our standard bags. If you are not familiar with bag materials, this is plenty good enough for most applications, which would typically be daily storage, transport to and from the beach, weekend away trips, ambient temperatures not exceeding approximately 30degC.

YKK no. 10 plastic zip (standard sizes are 1.5m long for surfboards, 2.5m for windsurf boards, 3.5m for SUP boards)
1 no. hand carry strap
No fin slot (we’ve found that 80% of people don’t actually use a fin slot)

Bigsurf Custom Board Bag
If you want to personalise your bag, it is no problem. When you complete the pop up form, fill in all the detail you need on your bag. Below are some of the options to personalise. These do carry an extra cost…we will email you a link to pay the balance online when we have it all added up.
External colour - If you would like a special combination of our available colours, please email us directly
Fin Slot(s) - As many as you need. We make the tail a little oversized for boards (like surfboards) that use small fins…the board fits with fins still installed
Additional padding - Bag thickness is increased to 8mm on both top and bottom surfaces
Extra hand carry straps - We find one to be fine usually, but you can have as many as you like
Shoulder carry strap - Removable, adjustable, padded shoulder strap
Longer zippers - The longer the zipper, the easier it is to slip your board into the bag
