Hook Pulley for windsurfing downhauls (all colours)
The downhaul Hook Pulley makes downhauling much, much easier when rigging your windsurfing sail.
NOTE: Colours change as stock availability changes. Usually they are BLACK, SILVER, or another colour (pic shows purple).
Also they reduce frictional wear on your downhaul ropes.
NOTE: These are high quality pulley hooks, not cheaper alternatives. These last longer, with better corrosion resistance.
Downhaul Hook Pulley ...essential for all windsurfing sails fitted with an eyelet on the downhaul.
This Hook Pulley protects your downhaul rope from frictional and rubbing wear, by avoiding the rope crossing each other as they pass, and avoiding friction on the eyelet itself.
It also reduces the force required to downhaul your sail, so minimises damage to rope, to your yourself and the risk of damage to your sail if the rope breaks when under tension.
Using the hook is simple...hook it through the downhaul eyelet on your sail and loop the rope through the pulleys and your mast extension pulleys.
Keep the rope untwisted as you rig it up. Feel free to ask us if you are unsure.
